WHY I STARTED TEACHING ENGLISH SLANG
Teaching English is my passion.
In 2009, after quitting my job at NASA, I decided to move to South Korea and become a missionary English teacher. My initial plan was to only stay for one year, but I quickly learned that I loved helping students learn English. More importantly, I loved seeing students gain confidence in their ability to speak in English. So, one year turned into ten years.
During my time as an English teacher I've taught tens of thousands of students how to speak English with confidence. But in 2019, I decided to add another layer to my lessons by creating English slang videos on Instagram. The response from students was amazing.
I realized that English learners around the world had been looking for a way to learn English slang in a clear, simple, and fun way. So, I created an easy-to-understand lesson style and I started sharing my knowledge about English slang with English learners around the world.
